hi i'm mielo & i make music.
There are few things better than a great remix, and Mielo's latest is only further testament to that. Mielo, a Chicago native that is known by his family and friends as Brett Stogsdill, is quickly earning the spotlight as one of EDM's futuristic bass producers to watch.
Ending 2015 with momentum following his performance at Reaction New Year's Eve in Chicago, a 2-day music festival with headliners Deadmau5 and Skrillex, 2016 is shaping very nicely for the young producer. Having already performed as opening direct support for EDM big names Cash Cash, San Holo, Alison Wonderland, Russ Liquid and Louis The Child this year, Mielo is already building an impressive resume.
A young producer to the game, with his first track being released less than a year ago, Mielo has made strides with his debut track "Surreal" and his remixes of Louis Vivet's "Silvia" and Holly Drummond's "Stronger". His music impresses listeners with its ambient basis coated with melodic bass synths, emotional female vocals, and then a flare of trap with its mild hip-hop beats. Mielo's music creates an ethereal atmosphere with powerfully soothing vibes that are undoubtedly appeasing to all. Check out Mielo's debut track "Surreal" below.
Gearing up for summer, Mielo will be performing as direct support for Elephante and then at 515 Alive Music Festival with top artists Zeds Dead, ASAP Ferg and Boombox Cartel. Check out the rest of the lineup for the 2-day fest and buy tickets to 515 Alive here.
Mielo has proven his talent time and time again, and today is no exception. Today, April 12, Mielo released his Porter Robinson redux of 'Say My Name'. The once upbeat electro-house original gets restructured to transform into a mellow electronica anthem full of melodic bass samples and glitchy synths that add Mielo's signature soothing ambient flare to the track. This remix most certainly presents Mielo's promising talent as an electronica ambient producer and it unquestionably confirms that Mielo is one to keep on our radar.
