The Number Fest Announces 2017 Line Up

FestivalsRebecca PotznerComment

Festival season is soon approaching. Many of our favorite festivals are fairly new to the scene, but that story is different for The number Fest in Athens, OH. Returning for it’s 15th year, The Number Fest has just released their 2017 line up including Young Thug and Jauz as headliners with support from Lil Yachty, 21 Savage, Louis The Child and more. PLUS, there’s still a mystery headliner. You’ve got to keep the people guessing!

“The 15th Edition of #Fest is an incredible accomplishment for the brand,” said Dominic Petrozzi, #Fest Founder and festival partner at Prime Social Group. “To be considered a cornerstone of the college experience for hundreds of thousands of coeds since our inception in 2004... gives our entire team a great sense of pride. I’m humbled by our beginnings and how far we have come with #Fest and look forward to making this Midwest experience one of the best in the country. This year's lineup includes some of the biggest names in popular culture as well as some of the brightest stars in music.”

The Number Fest, the biggest college festival around, has quite the background. In just the past few years it’s been hosts to Grammy award winning, Coachella playing artists. This year is no different. Young Thug just wrapped up one of his best years with his single “Best Friend” going Platinum. As for Jauz? He’s on the up and up releasing bangers through some of the biggest labels and helping lead the “genreless” electronic movement. Oh, and Louis the Child? They’ve played Coachella and have more than likely graced your ear buds with their projects with Icona Pop.

Waka Flocka Flame, Herobust, Cheat Codes, Blackbear, Party Thieves, Crankdat, Yookie, Quinn XCII, Ayokay and Jerreau fill the bill to keep the energy up for the 2-day festival. As always, you can expect local support from: 808-H, Chuckdiesel, Corrupt, Elliott Trent, Jax_, Ripp Flamez, Totally Normal, Yacht Club., and Lancelott.

Launching last year, the festival includes camping in addition to two stages. Prime Social Group reports that “Due to growth and demand, this year’s Prime Stage will almost double in size to accommodate additional Hip-Hop and EDM talent. Phase Two of the lineup is to be announced!” So, stay tuned!
