Artist Spotlight - Cinema Century

Robb ClarkComment

“Our violence will out live us, our hate will soon have to follow and although we all know it still grows. Imagine what we could be with more than a century. We stand in the wake of what we believe.”

Part alternative rock band, part grand social experiment, CINEMA CENTURY (stylized as C/\C) hails from Dayton, Ohio. CINEMA CENTURY formed in 2017 and released their debut single and video “Adrenaline”, with all proceeds from the sale of the song benefiting To Write Love On Her Arms, a non-profit organization dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with addiction, depression, self-injury and suicide.

CINEMA CENTURY has since release numerous singles and videos and show no signs of slowing down any time soon. Founding members Jake Bryant, vocals, and Grant Beaudry, drums, provide songs with loud guitars, beating drums, unforgettable vocals and a genuine message. Their songs have a great flow and seamless transitions from verses to anathematic choruses that resemble Thirty Seconds to Mars.

Don’t get me wrong, I could sit here and geek out over the musical side of CINEMA CENTURY for hours, but its just one facet that makes this band great. CINEMA CENTURY brings a voice of hope, a sense of reason and a purpose with its music. They aren’t content with just shaping the musical landscape; they’re aiming for something higher, something bigger than themselves. Jake and Grant seek to bring genuine hope, illuminate social and justice issues, and better yet, change the world.

Dayton, Ohio has been known for churning out band after band that go on to leave their mark on the music scene, locally and nationally. The Devil Wears Prada, Hawthorne Heights, This Love, States Away and The Orphan, The Poet are all Dayton bands that have made their mark on the local and national music scenes, and CINEMA CENTURY is well on their way to making their mark too. “You have everything to live for”.
