Each year, the Indianapolis 500 hosts the Snake Pit, an infield electronic music dance party whose stage has been host to some of the largest names in EDM. Known for its tradition of wild partying for college-age students, the Snake Pit is a fun and festive, but controlled party environment for electronic music fans to gather and let loose for a good time during the race.
Last year's lineup featured Kaskade, Steve Aoki, A-Trak, Caked Up, Milk N Cookies, and Sinclair Wheeler. Past years' lineups have included EDM big names Hardwell, Diplo, Dillon Francis, Afrojack, Nervo, Benny Benassi, and Krewella. This year's lineup will consist of Skrillex, Zeds Dead, Martin Garrix and DJ Mustard.
Skrillex, an 8 time Grammy Award winner will headline the Snake Pit this year. Coined as "the father of dubstep" Skrillex will bring to the stage a heavy-hitting, bass filled, dubstep set that will surely get you raging. Supporting him earlier in the day will be Martin Garrix, a young Dutch producer. Garrix is one of EDM's youngest superstars and continues to impress crowds across the globe with his progressive house live sets. Joining Skrillex and Garrix on the lineup is Zeds Dead, a Canadian production duo. Zeds Dead is most known for their dubstep production, but as of late, have been experimenting with trap music and even a calmer, more melodic electronic sound. The final artist on the lineup is DJ Mustard, a hip-hop producer from LA. He is most known for coining the "ratchet" sound and producing a more upbeat, catchy melodic style of hip-hop.
