Each year, the Indianapolis 500 hosts the Snake Pit, an infield electronic music dance party whose stage has been host to some of the largest names in EDM.  Known for its tradition of wild partying for college-age students, the Snake Pit is a fun and festive, but controlled party environment for electronic music fans to gather and let loose for a good time during the race.

Last year's lineup featured Kaskade, Steve Aoki, A-Trak, Caked Up, Milk N Cookies, and Sinclair Wheeler.  Past years' lineups have included EDM big names Hardwell, Diplo, Dillon Francis, Afrojack, Nervo, Benny Benassi, and Krewella. This year's lineup will consist of Skrillex, Zeds Dead, Martin Garrix and DJ Mustard

Skrillex, an 8 time Grammy Award winner will headline the Snake Pit this year.  Coined as "the father of dubstep" Skrillex will bring to the stage a heavy-hitting, bass filled, dubstep set that will surely get you raging.  Supporting him earlier in the day will be Martin Garrix, a young Dutch producer. Garrix is one of EDM's youngest superstars and continues to impress crowds across the globe with his progressive house live sets. Joining Skrillex and Garrix on the lineup is Zeds Dead, a Canadian production duo. Zeds Dead is most known for their dubstep production, but as of late, have been experimenting with trap music and even a calmer, more melodic electronic sound. The final artist on the  lineup is DJ Mustard,  a hip-hop producer from LA. He is most known for coining the "ratchet" sound and producing a more upbeat, catchy melodic style of hip-hop.

Tickets are on sale for the race and snake pit now. Grab them early for the cheapest price as periodic price increases do occur.  Snake pit attendees will need a race ticket, but can purchase general admission for a low price. In addition to the race ticket, you must also purchase a snake pit wristband, which is also available at a low cost. Refer to the schedule below for pricing for general admission and VIP snake pit tickets.

Gates will open at 6 AM on race day for the track and performances will start shortly after, so plan for an early day. Last year, the first artist took the stage at 7 AM, when the snake pit gates opened. Music will continue throughout the day until the checkered flag.
