Few things par to a name like Picasso. When you’re the great-grandson of famous Spanish artist Pablo Picasso, you have a lot to live up to.
Let the new era of Picasso commence. Meet Florian Picasso, ambitious world-traveling DJ, kicking it up a notch with big beats and incomparable remixes.
He has opened for Swedish House Mafia and Cannes and built his passion up further, headlining with Fatboy Slim, Showtek, and Joachim Garraud in cities like Miami and Vegas.
From dance-music hotspot Tomorrowland to flashy Vegas shows and big club showings, Picasso doesn’t disappoint. Since his initial debut as an artist/DJ, Picasso has built a solid foundation for himself, drawing official remixes for artists including Tegan and Sara, Nile Rodgers, Christina Perri, Kylie Minogue, Benny Benassi, Steve Aoki, NERVO, and more. His first original spin Oragami (2015) garnered over 2 million hits on Youtube and Spotify.
2016 looks to be a big year for Picasso with the releases of his Spinnin’ Records debut, Kirigami, and Saigon, a touching tribute to his hometown in Vietnam.
His latest release, Final Call, takes listeners off to the ethereal beyond, starting with a slow-paced build up to a strong drop to a club-like beat. It easily takes you back to a time you spent with someone special, someone close to you that you can’t seem to forget. We see you tugging at the heartstrings, Picasso.
Energetic drops are a strong feature in much of Picasso’s work thus far, providing clubs and music festivals with the perfect opportunity to showcase his work at the height of the 2016 music festival season. A rising EDM star, Florian Picasso has developed a unique, new sound that is a growing force in a progression industry we have come to know and love.
