How to Plan a Weekend in Cincinnati

CincinnatiRebecca PotznerComment

It always seems like I'm either busy all weekend or I have absolutely nowhere to be. No matter which predicament I'm in, it's nice to have some options on how to spend my free time. Now that I've finally upgraded my phone to larger storage options, I've gone crazy with downloading apps! One of them being the free Connect Cincinnati app by Cincinnati Bell.
To put the Connect Cincinnati app to the test, I decided to plan out a weekend of fun. The cool thing about this app is that it showcases local businesses, events, exclusive offers, deals and sweepstakes. A major plus? It provides information on where you can access Cincinnati Bell's Fioptics Free Wi-Fi hotspots. Oh yeah! I’ve already found a hotspot at Moerlein Lager House where I visit frequently!
So, let’s get to the plan….

Pho Lang Thang
This plan is all about experiencing new things. I’ve heard countless people rave about how good Pho Lang Thang is. So, what better excuse to give them a visit than a 15% discount from the app! I can’t wait to dig into my first bowl of Pho. and if we’re being honest, I’ll probably grab a vietnamese iced coffee too. YUM!

Buzzed Bull Creamery
You can always count me in for ice cream. Add alcohol into the mix and I’m intrigued. Buzzed Bull Creamery recently opened up in OTR and it’’s been well, all the buzz! Using the app, we get a 10% discount off of our delicious ice cream creation.

Live Music at Washington Park
We can’t end the night without a little music! The app showcases a lot of events going on in the city, but this one caught my eye. Over The Rhine (the band) will be performing in Washington Park this Sunday, June 25th! Admission is donation based and proceeds will go towards United Way of Greater Cincinnati! I had no idea this was happening until I found it on the app. I LOVE Over The Rhine, so I’m glad I did! You can listen to them here.

PLUS - I signed up for a chance to win Reds tickets, FC Cincinnati tickets AND tickets to see Avenged Sevenfold at Riverbend. There were a few more concerts to choose from that I’ll more than likely go fill out too. I’ve got to keep the #PROCOGO (professional concert go-er) tag going, right?
For another time…
Burger-Fi opened up on The Banks and I have yet to check it out! The app offers a 10% discount, so I’ll definitely hop on the Cincinnati Bell Connector to grab a burger then head to Smale Riverfront Park. Now, I can never complain that I’m bored and don’t know what to do!
Download the app from Google Play or the Apple App Store and come along for the ride! Tweet me which places you plan on visiting at @beckuhbeck. Learn more about Connect Cincinnati here.
