It’s officially Summer! I don’t know about you but I’m looking for every possible excuse to spend my time outside. Last time, I shared with you Liberty Center’s Summer Concert Series. Well, believe it or not there is more to add to your Summer schedule.
Along with their concert series and farmer’s market, Liberty Center hosts Movies Under Moonlight every Wednesday throughout the Summer. The lineup features a great mix of new and old animation movies including Cars, A Bug’s Life, Toy Story, Monsters Inc. and more. The Park is one of my favorite aspects of Liberty Center. It’s an open area with green space, fountains, gorgeous daisies, and benches to relax on. Happy to see them utilizing it in so many fun and free ways.
I had never seen The Secret Life of Pets, so a few friends and I headed up to Liberty Center to watch it! First, we stopped at Pies and Pints for pre-movie drinks. Their beer selection is vast and has something for every beer lover. Once we finished our drinks, we ran over to Cobb Theater to grab a big bag of popcorn to enjoy during the movies. I mean, c’mon...movie theater popcorn is THE BEST.
Grabbing a piece of the green space, I laid down this awesome outdoor blanket I purchased a few years back for music festivals. Turns out they’re great for all kinds of summer events! Cozied up, we enjoyed our buttery popcorn and laughed at the silly animals in the movie. It was a fun and chill night costing us almost nothing. For those of us balling on a budget, it was perfect! Check out the full movie schedule here and maybe I’ll catch you at the next one.
